China Chronicles 4.12- China National Orchestra and Museum

Image

On Thursday evening we had the awesome opportunity to go listen to the China National Orchestra, directed by our very own Maestro Jindong Cai from Stanford. The National Center for the Performing Arts (or The Giant Egg) was beautiful. There were several performance halls for opera and orchestra, as well as art galleries. It reminded me a little of Bing Concert Hall.

And the following Friday, we went to the National Museum of China!

And also a nearby food street (selling scorpions) and shopping mall.
